Established in 1997, Karen Barnes, the founder of The Elegant Window, realized early on the importance of continuing education in drapery fabrication.  Karen makes it a priority to attend trade shows and conferences each year, attending classes such as Advanced Swags and English Curtain Making, putting her at the forefront of the industry’s advancements.

Karen is a Certified Workroom Professional and a Window Fashions Certified Professional – Associate.  She is a member of the Window Coverings Association of America and Workroom Association of America. The Elegant Window staff are all professionally trained by Karen personally.
